Case studies: by industry and customers

• In 1987 we refurbished a very old tank engine: the valve and running gear on the wheels of the engine. A face has been put on it and afterwards it became Thomas the Tank Engine of the Nean Valley Railway! Steam engines have to be refurbished every 10 to 15 years.
   
• Lemaro Precision Machining Ltd. refurbished valves and scrap shoots for the automated press lines for the car industry in the UK: Ford, Vauxhall, Volvo. Also built large rollers for moving  press tools in Ford plants overseas.
   
• The company built sewage separators  for Russia with Armfibre's fibre glass tanks. For Gatwick Airport we manufactured the handrails and stainless steel art constructions for the centre point, similarly for the Millennium Dome in  London. Still in the area of architecture, we often manufacture artistic cladding on building façades.
   
• Lemaro together with Astec secured high volume orders to manufacture door handles for shower units for B&Q, Wickes and for the automatic glass doors at Debenhams.
   
• Furniture and double glazing  manufacturers regardless of location have most of their jigs and fixtures manufactured by us in Hertfordshire. A worldwide contract to build swimming pool fixtures with Armfibre was completed in 2000.
   
• Lemaro Precision Machining Ltd. machine components for U.S.F. Surface Finishing Machines, Harry Major Machines, Marconi, Albion as sub-contract work. We also sub-contract milling, turning and general machining, manufacture special purpose machines for punching holes in "U" channel Aluminium extrusions.
   
• We have powder-coated to highest specification the conveyor check-outs for Tesco supermarket chain.

• At St. Ives County Council Lemaro Precision Machining Ltd. built and powder-coated the car park barrier with 1 year guarantee and has now an on-going maintenance service contract.
